Development of new technologies based on the Institute-conducted basic research holds the most ranking place in its scientific and practical activities. By now, the Institute has developed and put on the market the following products:

• flight testing techniques - onboard trajectory measurement complex, flight test planning expert systems, methodology of new engines' testing using only flying laboratories, new principles of information and measurement systems' construction.

“ Use of the GLL-31 and GLL-VK Flight Experimental Complexes the Institute is carrying out research into crucial problems of hypersonic flight, among which the following are the most important: - construction of an effective engine unit; - determination of an aircraft's aerodynamic configuration; - creation of heat-protective material and development of a structure of aircraft and engine heat-protection and etc.”
